Coming soon, among other things:

Other changes so far include significantly improved behaviour of those text boxes on the map (they now reflect what the map thinks you want), marking of the map beacon on the minimap (as a red mark), and assorted refactoring. Wee!
Coming once I’m done adding stuffs.

Currently, AjaxLife uses the same shortcut as Second Life for instant messages – Ctrl-T. However, this is also used by most browsers to create a new tab, and is thus really annoying (I want a new tab, not an IM window!)
So, does anyone have any suggestions for alternate key bindings to use instead?

Of minor interest is that the homepage previously at http://katharineberry.co.uk now just redirects to http://blog.katharineberry.co.uk, as most of the content there was outdated or defunct – and there was never much there in the first place. Anything else at katharineberry.co.uk (if anything) still works.
Ah well.

AjaxLife will (well, should) now function from behind a corporate (or, indeed, any other) proxy, even under IE6. This does, of course, assume that the proxy is not blocking AjaxLife or something.
This was a very common issue, but it should now be fixed. Hooray!
I haven’t actually posted anything in a while. This is because during holidays I take a break from doing anything productive whatsoever.
AjaxLife updates will resume soonish, as soon as I get the backlog of schoolwork out of the way – although development will remain sluggish until mid-June or so, when I’m finished with all my exams and such. But IE6-in-corporate-environment users, I have not forgotten you! Stay tuned for fixes!
Oh, and I have a fancy new computer. Woohoo. Here’s a nice pair of screenshots:
Or, at least, here would be a nice pair of screenshots if WordPress 2.5′s upload facility wasn’t broken with calls to ctype_digit (which doesn’t exist) – what’s wrong with is_numeric (in fact, the patch to rectify the error just replaces all instances of ctype_digit with is_numeric – but I’m far too lazy to do that myself)?
Anyway. Blah blah blah. Exams suck, coursework moreso. Also, this is the first post with tags attached in a while.
For trademark policy-related reasons, several websites of mine will be removed once Linden Lab’s 90 day grace period is up. I really do not have the time or interest to go about jumping nonsensical legal hoops.
The sites closing are the following:
- TSL Profiles
- TSL Blogs
- TSL Emporium (which was defunct anyway)
Additionally, a couple of other projects I was working on are cancelled. The Teen SL Blog has moved to
teenmetaverse.net.
Thank you, Linden Lab, for obliterating months of work. It is appreciated. I hate you people (or at least whoever came up with this stupid idea.)

This image, currently used on AjaxLife’s login page, would appear to now be explicitly forbidden. Short of just removing it entirely, anyone feel like coming up with a legal alternative that can go on the top-right of the login screen?

We seem to be blocked again. I’m assuming this is a general libsl block.
Grr.
And now we’re fine.

AjaxLife 0.3.0 is up now. Yay!
Here are some release notes:
- Inventory window is fifty pixels wider by default
- Inventory has a context menu
- Inventory items can be renamed (but folders can’t)
- Inventory folders and items can be moved to trash and/or purged
- The trash can be emptied
- Folders can be created
- Properties window for inventory items (read-only for now)
- “Copy UUID” option on inventory items (if you have full permissions) – copies directly to clipboard in IE, opens a dialog with the UUID pre-selected in everything else.
- Inventory items show their permissions on mouseover
- Addition of keyboard shortcuts (same as those used in SL):
- Ctrl-Q logs you out
- Ctrl-T opens the IM window
- Ctrl-I opens inventory
- Ctrl-H opens the chat window
- Ctrl-M opens the map
- Ctrl-Shift-1 opens the stats window
- Ctrl and Command/Apple are interchangeable under Safari
- When used in Fluid with Growl installed, Growl notifications are shown for certain events
- Bugfix: friend lists will no longer display a list of nulls or blanks
- Bugfix: The map window’s “Focus on target” button now actually focuses the target, not your position as of inital login
You can see some screenshots of the new inventory stuff in my earlier post.
I hope you like it.

[00:27 GMT] Logins are disabled.
AjaxLife will be down for an upgrade to version 0.3 shortly. Please be patient. And such.
