Hello there! This appears to be an actual post, for the first time since 2008. Amazing, no? Anyway…
I have spent the last day and a half or so working on a new website, http://megaprim.sl. It is a megaprim search engine – essentially, enter the required size and it’ll show you the best matches and send you one of your choice. It also does a couple of neat things like allowing greater/less than searches, skipping axes, and searching various permutations that might match better than those you actually entered. Additionally, for more for show than anything else, it renders previews of all the prims. Because it can.
Example search: Any prim with one side of 100m (when would that be useful? No idea!)
Hopefully someone will find this vaguely useful. Comments would be appreciated!

Very nice job indeed, looks like Prim Search but with the advantage you can deliver a prim directly to any of your friends.

Are you willing to share how you searched the megaprims? and where they come from? I origionally thought that it was just the same as the SALT hud, but with a better interface. But i foud that you have megas SALT doesn’t.
Only one complaint, I requested 3 megs, and on the third one, i got this message its ben 15 mins and i am still getting the message : “Error Sending authentication requests too frequently! Try again later.”
Should it send me an Auth each time. Because it did.

Just built a 48×32 two story store and residence for my partner in SL and used the megaprim.sl service for a great part of it, even though I probably had those prims in inventory anyway, it was more fun having exactly what I needed delivered. I leave it open on my second monitor and really like getting the exact measurement (most of the time) for what I need.
This is really handy for when you have a large floor space that requires That One Special Megaprim to fit in a megaprim-surrounded hole such that the risk of Z-fighting is avoided.
I love this service! It’s so easy to find the exact sizes, and even on the rare chance that the exact size is not available, a close enough match is usually found.
Although lately I have been getting the same message as Techplex is getting: “Sending authentication requests too frequently! Try again later”. I have resorted to sending them to my alt.
Awesome indispensable service, you’ve got sizes that even the SALT HUD can’t produce.
I used to get the “Sending authentication requests too frequently” message too but finally the website seems to recognise me. Yaay!

I have also tried 2 different avatars, same error for both of them. One with fname & lname, and one without (where i tried fname.Resident)
