AjaxLife 0.3.0 release notes

AjaxLife 0.3.0 is up now. Yay!

Here are some release notes:

  • Inventory window is fifty pixels wider by default
  • Inventory has a context menu
  • Inventory items can be renamed (but folders can’t)
  • Inventory folders and items can be moved to trash and/or purged
  • The trash can be emptied
  • Folders can be created
  • Properties window for inventory items (read-only for now)
  • “Copy UUID” option on inventory items (if you have full permissions) – copies directly to clipboard in IE, opens a dialog with the UUID pre-selected in everything else.
  • Inventory items show their permissions on mouseover
  • Addition of keyboard shortcuts (same as those used in SL):
    • Ctrl-Q logs you out
    • Ctrl-T opens the IM window
    • Ctrl-I opens inventory
    • Ctrl-H opens the chat window
    • Ctrl-M opens the map
    • Ctrl-Shift-1 opens the stats window
    • Ctrl and Command/Apple are interchangeable under Safari
  • When used in Fluid with Growl installed, Growl notifications are shown for certain events
  • Bugfix: friend lists will no longer display a list of nulls or blanks
  • Bugfix: The map window’s “Focus on target” button now actually focuses the target, not your position as of inital login

You can see some screenshots of the new inventory stuff in my earlier post.

I hope you like it. :D

Tried the login http://ajaxlife.net/login/ and couldnt see a place where I could actually log in.. is it hidden or framed?

    Help!

  • The login page is http://ajaxlife.net – I have no idea why people are using ajaxlife.net/login now. It’s never going to work. :p

  • Hi kathereine Did you see the error messages i posted above thats what i get when try and use Ajax life and I am using the log in described above. I loved ajax life i’d dearly love to get it back I hope you can help

  • Those errors should be gone now, or at least different. Have you tried since yesterday?

  • Hi katharine,

I tried again and cleared my cache as well just in case i was bringing a stored copy but still get the same errors on Line 2 and Line 45 as i described above :(

  • Hi Catherine sorry to bother you but did you get a chance to look at the problem withAjax life not loading i still get the same error message. I am using a German lap top I wonder if this is the problem? What are the charecters on line 2 Char 1 and line 45 char 4. Moveable life is grinding to a halt so any help you can give in resolving this problem would be really great
    Thanks Sparkle

  • Line 2, char 1 is “A”, and there aren’t 45 lines in the first place. Since I can’t reproduce the issue, nobody else has reported the issue, and I have no idea what the issue is, I’m afraid I’ve largely given up trying to fix it. If you visit http://ajaxlife.net/noframes, can you “View Source” and tell me what encoding it claims to be using? (It’ll say something to the effect of “<!-- Using gzip encoding. -->” or “<!-- Using identity encoding. -->”. If it’s using gzip, that could be the issue (although it’d also mean your browser and/or proxy is lying – which certain bad proxies do.)

  • HI Catherine
1st the good news when I go to the page http://ajaxlife.net/noframes, the login page loads and if i enter my details I log into Ajax Life perfectly so I can use it again so thanks for your help.

I checked the source and it is using identity encoding.

Jan reported the same problem at the top of this thread 9th March and I have seen it when i try and use ajax life at terminals in airports etc.

But you have saved me from the evil cluthches of movable life so have a big hug. May be the fact that this page works will help you sort the problem with the standard page

    Cheers Sparkle

  • For the majority of people I’ve spoken to this issue was fixed a month or so ago.

As for it working without frames, that’s just really, really strange. Hum.
