Calm down, folks. Spanish and hopefully French will be up soon.
You can practise/learn them a bit while they’re the default languages xDD
(and wait until you see Russian… if you do xD)

Outstanding work, Katharine ! Right now I keep getting the “loading subsystems” message on Firefox 2.0.0.4 for Windows. I also get that message today with Opera and IE7.

Now and again, Great ideas that join stuff up like this come along and have a massive impact. This will be really important for people who cant access SL because of firewall/routing issues.

Well done!

If you allow access to the source.. People can host their own at a site they manage/trust. Would take some pressure off your servers too

Woo, it finally crashed out. That means I can get to my server again.

I have actually fixed Safari 2 now (apparently it disliked the word ‘float’), but the buttons are all misplaced.

I’ll restart the thing now and cross my fingers. :p

Neat project! I was actually thinking about making a 2d interface to Second Life, but i never thought of using good ol’ HTML & JavaScript to do it.

With regard to Safari 2 i’d be glad to check it out, but it appears that the service is not responding (i.e. i get a Bad Gateway error).

The page might load a little slow because of issues I’ am having with my website provider and some glitch that happened when i uploaded the link. Also the page might not load right. I’ am working on a fix…

hmm I think I still need to see it to believe it… (apologies, just the geek scepticism – looks too good to be true But assuming it really does work – this is a nice piece of code, congrats then!
For scaling – GPL it and put for the others, then others would install it too, and then would be possible to loadbalance between the servers… (well, although I don’t know your plans about code distribution, but having many servers would definitely help scalability
