I suck at quitting. The post below is irrelevent.
Until people stop complaining about SL’s infrastructure, I will not be participating in the community. As such, I am pulling down TSL Emporium, TSL Profiles, TSLurl, the TG map API, and my stats system.
Have fun making your own hell. Telling LL how useless they are won’t get you anywhere; it’ll just destroy their motivation to do anything. Compliments/encouragement/patches would be more productive. The latest movement (holding a protest) is the worst I’ve seen yet.
Goodbye. I doubt you’ll miss me, and I doubt that you’ll maintain interest in this for very long anyway.
I am so sorry that it has come to this Kate. I really hate to see you go. I completely agree and I think I am going to pull out of the forums, because every other post bashes LL for instability.
Please keep in touch, I don’t know if this site keeps my email so I will IM you ingame *If you still get offline IMs*
Eh. I don’t make any contributions to the community much anyway, so, I just find my own joy hanging around people, and looking at the cool stuff they come up with.
Will people stop moaning? Probably not.
Will this do anything? Maybe, but only to some.
But, do enjoy the downtime. It usually works out for the better.
Oh, and “the site is dead” message doesn’t have any of the unnecessary glitz that you usually use.
I wrote it in under a minute, and then killed sites and replaced them with that. Direct URL access won’t work either.
And it’s very necessary glitz! >.>
I think that this is a bad idea. I’m sorry, Katharine, but I really do. People complaining about grid stability isn’t your problem. Don’t feel like it’s your job to single-handedly stop people from criticizing Linden Lab. Some people get really annoyed when the grid acts up, and there’s no way you’re going to stop them from blaming LL for it. Don’t take their refusal to see your side of the argument as a personal attack. And certainly don’t stop doing something that (at least as far as I can see, being several thousand miles away) you enjoy doing, just because some people disagree with you.
And I get really angry when I read the piles of nonsensical complaints about things that don’t exist.
How about all the complainers just leave, since it’s all so horrible?
And turning off the stats system is annoyingly complex, so I’ll leave that to run. >.>
Kath, ill miss you much, perhaps after voice and WindLight people will see that new features are GOOD, and you could come back for a little while.
I am glad you aren’t quiting.
Me too.
Well, I’m glad you aren’t leaving, too.
Being destructive is easier than being constructive, so I’ve decided to plain shut up and sleep.
Anyway, yay for the life in the blogggg.
